Thalapathy Vijay's LEO Overseas Business: Lokesh Kanagaraj's Film Closes A Staggering Deal For THIS MUCH!

The movie marks the collaboration of Trisha and Vijay again after about 12 years, much to the excitement of their fans. The duo is one of the most-loved onscreen jodis on the Tamil screen.

The movie's shooting is happening at a brisk pace in and around Chennai as the director wants to quickly wrap the shooting and work more on the post-production.

Thalapathy Vijay's LEO Overseas Business Deal

The movie set a new benchmark by closing a phenomenal overseas deal at Rs 60 Crore, the highest-ever to date, for a Tamil film. Phars Films, one of the biggest distribution companies abroad, has acquired the overseas rights to the Thalapathy Vijay-starrer.

For Leo to achieve break-even, it needs to surpass the 17 Million Dollar mark in the market, reportedly.

The movie stars Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Priya Ananda, Mysskin, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Sandy Master, Mathew Thomas, Babu Antony, George Maryan, Janany Kunaseelan, Kathir, Abhirami Venkatachalam, and Iyal among others. In addition to cameos by Lokesh Kanagaraj and Pradeep Muthu, legendary and veteran late Manobala will be seen in the film posthumously.

The movie which is produced by SS Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy under the Seven Screen Studio and The Route banners respectively has music and background score by Anirudh Ravichander. Philomin Raj, who works with Lokesh Kanagaraj closely is looking after the film's editing while Manoj Paramahamsa is cranking the camera.

The makers of the film are reportedly shelling out somewhere between Rs 250 Crore and Rs 300 Crore.

LEO Theatrical Release

The movie will hit the screens for the Dussehra festival on October 19. Leo will be released in Tamil originally and dubbed versions will release in other major south-Indian languages.
