Thalapathy
Vijay
To
Take
A
Small
Break
From
Acting
Career
To
Pursue
Politics:
Thalapathy
Vijay
is
set
to
pause
his
acting
career
for
a
short
break
of
about
three
years
to
focus
on
the
upcoming
elections
in
2026.
Reportedly,
the
actor
will
start
taking
part
in
the
activities
of
'Thalapathy
Vijay
Makal
Iyyakam'
after
the
release
of
Lokesh
Kanagaraj's
directorial
LEO.
Despite
the
break
being
only
for
a
while,
fans
of
the
actor
are
disappointed
and
unhappy
about
him
not
doing
films,
and
they
expressed
excitement
over
his
decision
to
join
active
politics.
Meanwhile,
after
LEO,
Vijay
announced
his
68th
film
with
director
Venkat
Prabhu.
He
is
aiming
to
complete
the
work
of
the
movie,
which
is
rumoured
to
be
titled
CSK,
by
January
2024,
making
his
way
clear
for
focusing
on
politics
and
earning
a
solid
base
for
Makkal
Iyyakam.
After
the
news
about
his
political
break
surfaced
on
the
internet,
fans
started
making
it
viral
by
adding
slogans
like
'Time
To
Lead.'
Recently,
Vijay,
who
always
had
ambition
for
politics,
took
part
in
a
student
appreciation
meet
where
he
made
his
intentions
clear
about
his
foray
into
the
political
realm.
Kollywood
stars
and
their
tryst
with
politics
are
as
old
as
time.
Many
Tamil
cinema
personalities
have
left
irreplaceable
impacts
on
the
state's
politics,
including
MGR,
Karunanidhi,
and
Jaya
Lalita.
Actor-producer
Udhayanidhi
Stalin
also
quit
his
film
career
and
is
now
a
Minister.
According
