Directed by Sudipto Sen and starring Adah Sharma, Siddhi Idnani and Pranav Mishra, The Kerala Story released on May 5, 2023. In this film, the screenplay is written that 32 thousand women from Kerala have been converted to Islam and joined the ISIS terrorist organization.

Various organizations, including Islamic organizations, protested against it claiming that the film was made without basic evidence. The film The Kerala Story was released in theaters across the country amid various protests beyond court cases.

Multiplex theaters announced that the film will not be screened from the 2nd day, citing poor reviews, poor footfall and law and order issues in Tamil Nadu. Subsequently, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also banned the film. At the same time, the film is running in theaters in other states.

It was warned that the release of the film would increase religious hatred and risk of sectarian clashes. The same apprehension was registered by the petitioners who filed a case against it. Now it is becoming a reality in Jammu and Kashmir.

Shocking Incident At Government Medical College

A terrible conflict has erupted in the government medical college there because of the movie The Kerala Story. Deepak, a student in the official WhatsApp group for first-year medical students, shared the link to the film and wrote, "A must watch for those who are awake."

A student named Agib Ishaq has objected to this. He said, "Avoid sharing negative comments." But while Deepak has not deleted the link, he has asked him to start a separate WhatsApp group if he is sharing such posts. Some other students also objected to sharing the link of the movie The Kerala Story.

Meanwhile, Deepak was out with his friends and college seniors when he allegedly stopped and threatened a first-year student named Arip Gul who had protested against the film Kerala Story on a WhatsApp group. Seeing this, some more students gathered there in support of Aripu.

Student Beaten With Iron Rod?

This led to a clash between the two parties in the college campus itself. It is said that not only college students but also outsiders entered and attacked. In this clash, final year student Haseeb was hit on the head with an iron rod and his skull was fractured. His face covered in blood is being shared on social media.

Similarly, students Arunesh, Ankit, Umar, Akshit are also slightly injured in this clash. Students from both the sides protested in the college campus demanding action in this regard. The police have registered a case and investigating on this.
