Trisha Krishnan Heaps Praise On Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal

In a surprising turn of events, South Indian actress Trisha Krishnan faced severe backlash on social media after she posted an Instagram story praising Sandeep Reddy Vanga's latest release, Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. She deleted the post after facing severe backlash.

Trisha's Controversial Post

Trisha had shared a screenshot of the movie's poster on her Instagram story with the caption, "One word - Cult. Paaahhhh." The post, however, was short-lived, as she quickly deleted it, after facing a wave of criticism from social media users.

Netizens React To Trisha's Post

Netizens expressed their disappointment and pointed out the contradiction in Trisha's recent actions. A user wrote, "She was lecturing about woman's dignity a week ago only, no?"

Another user wrote, "Never expect a negative review from an actor/actress for any movies. They won't/can't express the real opinion as they need to sustain in the industry." "First case is her standing up for herself when someone made derogatory comments on her and the second is her enjoying a movie. U guys need to hear this from someone??," read one more comment from a third user.

For the uninitiated, this incident follows a recent controversy involving Trisha and actor Mansoor Ali Khan, who made misogynistic remarks at her. After Khan issued an apology, Trisha responded with a message of forgiveness. However, Khan later threatened to file a defamation case against Trisha.

About Animal

Helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal stars Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, Suresh Oberoi and Prem Chopra among others in pivotal roles. Set against the backdrop of a troubled relationship between Ranbir Kapoor's character with his father, essayed by Anil Kapoor, this crime drama film showcases a violent world.

While the film opened on a high note on December 1 and is on a record-breaking spree, it is also being called out for its ultra-violent, gore and misogynistic approach.
