Vaathi Day 5 Box Office Collection: Dhanush-Venky Atluri's Action Drama Continues Its Box Office Rampage!

Dhanush's latest box office sensation Vaathi aka Sir, written and directed by Venky Atluri, is running successfully at the ticket counters in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. The movie was released on February 17 to widespread positive reviews.

The movie marks the Telugu debut of Dhanush as a lead actor and the Tamil debut of Venky Atluri as a director. With the success of Vaathi, Dhanush proved yet again that content is the core for any film to work. He scores hit with new formula films which are content-driven and play unconventional characters. Dhanush expanded his market to the Telugu states with Sir so easily.

The movie stars Samyuktha as the female lead opposite Dhanush for the first time. In addition, P Sai Kumar played the antagonist in the movie which also includes Tanikella Bharani, Samuthirakani, Hyper Aadi, Narra Srinivas, Thotapalli Madhu, Sha Ra, Aadukalam Naren, and Ilavarasu among others in pivotal characters. Akkineni Sumanth and legendary director Bharathiraja appeared in special cameo roles in Vaathi.

J Yuvaraj cranked the camera for the film that was edited by Naveen Nooli. The movie's music and soundtrack were composed by GV Prakash Kumar. Sai Soujanya and Suryadevara Naga Vamsi produced the movie under the Sithara Entertainments banner in association with Srikara Studios and Fortune Four Cinemas banners.
