Vaathi Day 6 Box Office Collection: Venky Atluri-Dhanush's Movie Holds Strong Due To Lack Of Competition

Dhanush's latest bilingual film Vaathi aka Sir, written and directed by Venky Atluri was released all over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana among other parts of the world on February 17 to a wide acclaim and positive reviews.

The movie marks the Telugu debut of Dhanush and has done fairly well in the two Telugu-speaking states. The movie achieved break-even and entered into profit zone. In Tamil, Vaathi is a bit slower than in Telugu.

The film stars P Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani, Samuthirakani, Thotapalli Madhu, Pammi Sai, Hyper Aadi, Sha Ra, Aadukalam Naren, Ilavarasu, Ranjendran, Hareesh Peradi, Praveena, Ken Karunas, and Narra Srinivas in pivotal characters. Actor Akkineni Sumanth appeared in a cameo.

Y Yuvaraj worked as the cinematographer of the movie. Naveen Nooli edited the film. The soundtrack was composed by GV Prakash Kumar.

Sai Soujanya and Suryadevara Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments bankrolled the movie in association with Fortune Four Cinemas and Srikara Studios. Vaathi was made on a budget of Rs 30 Crore.
