Veerappan's Daughter Vijayalakshmi Reveals The Reason For Entering Cinema; Says 'Will Definitely Save..'

Veerappan's daughter has made her debut in cinema. While many people know about Sandalwood smuggler Veerappan, some may have forgotten about him. In the early days Veerappan used to do incidents like killing elephants and stealing their tusks. Later, he started killing people who interfered with his crimes. It was reported that Veerappan committed his first murder at the age of seventeen. Police was trying to arrest him for killing policemen, forest department officials and more than 200 elephants for their ivory.

To top it off, he kidnapped Rajkumar, a leading star actor of Kannada film industry in the year 2000. Rajkumar was later released by Veerappan on 15th November 2000 after 108 days in his custody.

For many years, Veerappan has been a great challenge to the governments of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. At one point he had a force of a few hundred men. Veerappan, who was accused of smuggling sandalwood worth 130 crores, was killed in 2004 by the Tamil Nadu Special Police Force led by Vijayakumar when Jayalalitha was the Chief Minister of the state.

Veerappan has a wife named Muthulakshmi and two daughters. In such a situation, Vijayalakshmi, the youngest daughter, has made her debut as an actress in the cinema. KNR Raja, who has directed the film, has also played the lead role. In such a situation, the teaser of this film has been released recently. The music release ceremony of this film was also held in the presence of film celebrities like director Perarasu and actor Cool Suresh.

Vijayalakshmi says, "In the society, women are facing trouble due to alcohol on one side and love on the other. If a film is made focusing on these, people will be aware. That's why I agreed to act in this film. I will definitely save my father's name."

The film trailer looks too bad interms of making. Netizens started commenting about the caste based dialogues from the trailer of the film. It is also reported that the film was made few years back and the crew faced lot of problems to complete it. Somehow they managed to get a release date for the film titled 'Maaveeran Pillai' now.
