In a shocking incident that occurred late last night, popular Tamil film industry personality Charanraj, known for his supporting roles in movies like Vadachennai and Asuran, met with a fatal accident. The 26-year-old, who also worked as an assistant director to renowned filmmaker Vetermaaran, was riding his two-wheeler near KK Nagar on Arkadu Road when tragedy struck.

According to media reports, a speeding car collided with Charanraj's bike from behind around 11:30 p.m., resulting in a grave accident. The impact of the collision was so severe that Charanraj sustained fatal injuries and tragically lost his life at the scene. Local residents immediately alerted the police upon discovering the distressing situation.

Officers from the Guindy Traffic Investigation Division swiftly arrived at the scene and recovered Charanraj's lifeless body. It was promptly transported to Rayapet Government Hospital for further procedures and examination.

The authorities have initiated a thorough investigation into the incident, and a case has been registered by the traffic police. The person responsible for causing the accident has been apprehended and is currently undergoing interrogation. The investigation has identified the individual as Palaniappan, a 41-year-old supporting actor in the film industry, residing in the MC Avenue area of Saligramam.

Initial findings from the police indicate that both Charanraj and Palaniappan were acquaintances. Preliminary information also reveals that Palaniappan, who was driving the car, was heavily intoxicated at the time of the accident. It is suspected that his impaired state led him to drive at high speed and collide with Charanraj's two-wheeler, which was traveling ahead. Authorities are currently reviewing nearby CCTV footage to gather additional evidence and insights into the incident.
