Vijay Antony’s Daughter Suicide | Meera’s School Friends Spill Beans About Her Mental Health

The Tamil industry witnessed the most heartbreaking news lately as Vijay Antony's daughter Meera Antony breathed her last on September 19 (Wednesday). Reportedly, Meera, 16, died by suicide at their Chennai residence. While the news sent a wave of shock across the industry, there have been endless speculations about what made her take the drastic step.

According to media reports, Meera was battling stress and even sought professional help for the same. And while the fans have been mourning her demise, as per the recent update, Meera's school friends have opened up on her mental health and stated that there were no signs of stress.

It is reported that as the cops are investigating the case and they are questioning Meera's teachers and friends to know the exact cause behind her drastic step. Besides, Meera's mobile phone is also being examined.

As per a report published in Filmibeat Tamil, Meera's friends stated that they had no clue about Meera battling stress and also emphasised that they would have comforted her if there were any signs of any mental health issue. While everyone has been in shock, Meera's school friends have been missing their friend.

On the other hand, Vijay Antony's wife Fatima's heartwarming post for her daughter Meera has been going viral on social media. The post was shared early this year to celebrate Meera's achievement in the school. The post was shared on micro-blogging site Twitter (now X), wherein Meera was dressed in while uniform along with a sash dropping hints of her achievement. The post was captioned as, "The Force behind my strength, the consolations to my tears, the reason for my stress (Naughtiness super loaded) my Thangakatti-chellakutty. Meera Vijay Antony, Congrats Baby" along with heart, hug and fire emoticons.

It is reported that Meera's last rites took place on September 20 at Kilpakkam cemetery. The reports further suggested Meera's funeral will take place as per Christian rituals
