RIP Meera Antony: Vijay Antony's daughter Meera Antony committed suicide in the early hours of September 19. Vijay Antony, who was devastated by her death, took to social media today (September 21) and penned an emotional note remembering his 16-year-old daughter.

VIJAY ANTONY'S STATEMENT AFTER DAUGHTER'S SUICIDE

One day following the cremation, Vijay Antony penned a heartfelt post in which he expressed deep admiration for his cherished daughter. He also conveyed that he had felt utterly lost when his daughter took such a drastic step.

Taking to Instagram, he wrote, "Dear fans.. My daughter is very kind and brave. She has now gone to a peaceful place which is better than this world without caste, religion, money, jealousy, pain, and enmity. But she is talking to me. I died with her. I have now started spending time with her. I will soon start doing several good deeds in her name and she will initiate all of it."

ABOUT VIJAY ANTONY'S DAUGHTER MEERA

The unexpected passing of Meera Vijay Antony sent shockwaves through the community and left the entire Tamil film industry in disbelief. She was the elder daughter of Vijay Antony and Fatima. The 16-year-old was laid to rest at Kilpauk cemetery.

Meera had been an outstanding student and held the position of Cultural Secretary at Sacred Heart Matriculation School in Chennai. Her untimely demise at her residence in Alwarpet, Chennai prompted the filing of a police case, and a postmortem examination was carried out in accordance with standard procedures.

VIJAY ANTONY UPCOMING PROJECTS

Vijay Antony's upcoming film, directed by C.S. Amudhan, is titled Ratham and is scheduled for release on September 28. The movie features an ensemble cast including Nandita Shwetha, Mahima Nambiar, Ramya Nambeeshan, among others in prominent roles.
