Vijay Antony’s Daughter Funeral: Meera’s Last Rites Delayed For THIS Reason; Cremation To Take Place Today

The Kollywood industry witnessed one of the most heartbreaking news recently after Tamil music composer-actor Vijay Antony's teenage daughter Meera Antony passed away on September 19. According to media reports, Meera died by suicide and was found dead at their Chennai residence. While she was immediately rushed to a private hospital, Meera was declared brought dead.

As the news of Meera's unfortunate demise spread like wildfire, condolence messages were pouring in from all corners of the world. On the other hand, there were reports about Meera's last rites will be taking place on Tuesday evening. However, as per the recent update, Vijay Antony's daughter's funeral was delayed and will take place on Wednesday morning (September 20).

According to media reports, as the family requested to bury Meera at Kilpakkam cemetery, the permission for the same was delayed. The reports further suggested Meera's funeral will take place as per Christian rituals and the last rites will take place on September 20 morning between 8 am and 11 am.

Meanwhile, it is speculated, Meera was battling stress and was also seeking professional help for the same. It is reported that stress was a reason behind Meera taking the extreme step. The media reports also suggested as the cops are investigating the matter, they are questioning Meera's teachers and friends to know the exact cause behind her drastic step. Besides, Meera's mobile phone is also being examined.

On the other hand, Vijay Antony's wife Fatima's heartwarming post for her daughter Meera has been going viral on social media. The post was shared early this year to celebrate Meera's achievement in the school. The post was shared on micro-blogging site Twitter (now X), wherein Meera was dressed in while uniform along with a sash dropping hints of her achievement.
