The
Abiramipuram
police
department
has
initiated
an
investigation
into
an
alleged
jewelry
theft
reported
by
Darshana,
the
wife
of
renowned
singer
Vijay
Yesudas.
According
to
Darshana's
complaint,
around
60
pieces
of
gold
and
diamond
jewelry
went
missing
from
their
house
in
Abiramipuram,
Chennai.
The
incident
is
said
to
have
occurred
between
December
and
February.
In
her
complaint,
Darshana
stated
that
she
had
last
seen
the
jewelry
on
December
2
of
the
previous
year.
However,
when
she
checked
in
February,
the
items
were
nowhere
to
be
found.
The
couple's
domestic
workers,
Menaka
and
Perumal,
are
suspected
of
involvement
in
the
disappearance
of
the
jewelry,
as
per
Darshana's
statement.
The
Abiramipuram
police
have
launched
a
thorough
investigation
based
on
the
complaint.
They
have
reviewed
the
CCTV
footage
from
Vijay
Yesudas'
residence
and
the
surrounding
areas.
Additionally,
the
employees
working
at
the
house
have
been
summoned
and
questioned
regarding
the
alleged
theft.
During
the
intensive
investigation,
the
police
department
determined
that
none
of
the
domestic
workers
were
responsible
for
the
theft.
However,
when
authorities
attempted
to
contact
Vijay
Yesudas
for
further
inquiry,
they
were
unable
to
reach
him.
Reports
suggest
that
the
singer
is
currently
abroad
and
unable
to
attend
the
proceedings.
Similarly,
Darshana,
the
complainant,
has
also
not
appeared
for
the
hearings.
It
has
come
to
light
that
the
missing
jewelry
was
stored
in
a
lockable
box,
but
the
police
have
confirmed
that
the
lock
was
not
tampered
with.
The
combination
to
unlock
the
box
is
known
only
to
Darshana
and
Vijay
Yesudas.
Moreover,
the
complaint
was
filed
nearly
two
months
after
the
alleged
theft,
leading
the
police
department
to
investigate
the
possibility
of
a
false
report.
As
the
investigation
progresses,
the
police
will
explore
all
angles
to
determine
the
truth
behind
the
reported
jewelry
theft.
Further
inquiries
will
be
conducted,
and
statements
from
Vijay
Yesudas
and
Darshana
will
be
crucial
to
ascertain
the
facts
of
the
case.
