Virumaandi Star Abhirami Makes First REVELATION On Why She Decided To Quit Acting

Popular South Indian actor Abhirami is known for her remarkable acting skills and mesmerizing beauty. She has been a part of the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada film industries since her childhood. With her innate talent and dedication, she has established herself as one of the most sought-after heroines in the South Indian film industry.

Abhirami has acted in numerous films over the years, and her on-screen chemistry with veteran actor Kamal Haasan in the acclaimed movie Virumaandi was much appreciated by the audience. However, after Virumaandi, she took a break from cinema for 10 years. Abhirami made a comeback to acting after a decade and is now seen in supporting roles in several languages.

In a recent interview, Abhirami shared that her hiatus from cinema was a conscious decision, as she wanted to take a break and enjoy her life. She started acting at the age of 15 and had been working continuously until she was 21, which left her with no time to live like an average girl. Therefore, she decided to take a break and enjoy her life.

She said, "I came into the industry when I was 15 and I worked continuously until I was 21. I wanted to concentrate on my life beyond cinema, which is why I took a break. It was my decision and though it might have had a negative effect on my career in the entertainment industry, I have no regrets as I followed my decision."

On the acting front, Abhirami was last seen in the ZEE5 series, Oru Kodai Murder Mystery. The series marked her debut in the long-format and also gave her the opportunity to play an author-backed role. She was seen playing Anagalakshmi, a headmistress and mother of two grown-up boys. Her role receive a wide attention from fans, and the series was also received well by the fans and critics alike.
