VJ Chithra Birth Anniversary: Popular Serial Director Pens Heart-touching Post; Emotional Fans Pay Tributes

VJ Chithra is one of the most popular celebrities in Tamil Nadu, who created a void when she breathed her last. As today is her birth anniversary, fans of the late star have been sharing tributes to her on social media.

Among those to remember her on her birth anniversary was TV serial director Siva Sekar, who helmed Pandiyan Stores, in which Chithra played a pivotal role. He even shared a photo of the late actor and paid his tribute. Fans took to the comments section and remembered the actor and recalled some of her best memories.

It has been more than two years since VJ Chitra reportedly died by suicide. She breathed her last on December 9, 2020 and her body was found hanging in the bathroom of a hotel room. As the mystery around her death is still not solved, several of her close friends and small screen actors have spoken about her.

Though in its initial investigation, the police found her death to be a suicide case, later her former husband Hemanth was arrested based on the complaint of Chitra's parents. Chitra was a popular name in the Tamil television industry and she rose to popularity with the Vijay television's soap opera Pandian Stores. She made her debut in the film industry with Calls, which was released in 2021 after her death.

Recently, a Court granted conditional warrent for Hemanth. It was reported that Hemanth harrassed and tortured Chithra. Several of their telephonic conversations were submitted to the cops for investigation to find the reason behind her suicide. To note, close friends and colleagues of Chithra were shocked to know her suicide and they even noted that she was not someone who would take such an extremes step as she was a bold person who would face any hardships.
