Here’s When & Where You Can Watch PS Vinothraj’s Critically Acclaimed Film Koozhangal (Pebbles)

For all cinema lovers who love to binge-watch thought-provoking stories that are rooted in India, Sony LIV has you covered! The platform is all set to stream the critically acclaimed Tamil film Koozhangal (Pebbles) this October.

Written and directed by PS Vinothraj, the film has made great strides in international film festivals beginning with the World Premiere in the Tiger Competition category at the 50th International Film Festival of Rotterdam and went on to win the most coveted Tiger Award with high praises from the jury members and critics.

The film was chosen as India's Official Entry to the 94th Academy Awards 2022 and was also nominated in Film Independent Spirit Awards 2022 under the Best International Feature Film category. After featuring at over 60 top film festivals and bagging more than 20 prestigious awards, Koozhangal will be streaming on Sony LIV from 27th October.

Koozhangal (Pebbles) is a poignant tale of a father and son's tumultuous journey to find love and redemption in the unforgiving barren lands of a rural district. When an alcoholic father drags his innocent son out of school on a quest to bring back his estranged wife, they face a chaotic village and scorching sun, forcing them to confront their inner spirits.

But as they walk the path of self-discovery, will they find the courage to heal their broken family and overcome the odds? Koozhangal features Chellapandi and Karuththadaiyaan and is produced by Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara under the banner of Rowdy Pictures.

Koozhangal portrays the harsh realities of life in a rural district, where the patience of women is the only thing that keeps the family from falling apart. It is a story that is all too common in my hometown of Arittapatti, and I wanted to showcase these slices of reality through this film. I hope the viewers will connect with the characters and the story.
