Director Rejishh Midhila has cast Yogi Babu as Ganesha in 'Yanai Mukhathan'. He has directed Malayalam films like 'Lal Bahadur & Shastri', 'Varikkuzhiyile Kolapathakam' and 'Innumuthal', and is coming to Tamil through this film. The film is releasing worldwide today (April 21, 2023).

In a recent interview to a media portal he said, "I like Tamil movies. My desire from the beginning was to direct in Tamil. That is what my journey was all about. But, things did not go well for that. So I directed some films in Malayalam. Now I have produced and directed this film in Tamil.

Actor Ramesh Tilak acted in my Malayalam film. When he heard the story of 'Yaanai Mugathaan', he said that if it was made in Tamil, Yogi Babu would be suitable for this character. He himself also introduced Yogi Babu. After hearing the story, Yogi Babu said that he would act immediately. This is how he came into this film.

As per the story, Ramesh Tilak, an auto driver in Chennai, is an ardent devotee of Ganesha. But he is a bit of a liar and a hypocrite. Yogi Babu comes before him and introduces himself as 'I am Ganesha'. He wouldn't believe it. If someone stood in front of us today and said, 'I am God', would anyone believe it? This is the story. It will tell you what God will do to make you believe it.

Although it looks like a comedy, there are emotional things in the story. Yogi Babu has done two characters. It will be double-edged. You can also see Yogi Babu's excellent performance in this. As he has come from the bottom of life, it is easy for him to express his feelings.
