First of all kudos to everyone including the director and producer for taking such a great initiative with such a low budget.

To get people to see Ponniyin Selvan, which was made in crores of rupees, the film team is promoting from town to town, and this film called Yathisai is attracting attention by saying that we too can make a royal film with a minimum budget.

The movie Yathisai has created some kind of anticipation among the masses. Kodhi, who belongs to the Einar clan, is traveling with the sole aim of killing the Pandiya king Ranadheeran, who has made the country tremble with fear, and capture the fort.

His people, who believe in his determination, stand by him at one stage and directly confront the king with his army. With casualties on both sides, the Pandiya king rushes to see their numbers.

The Pandiya king, who has a race of great schools, with his army, intends to capture the fort before the fort falls into the hands of Kodhi. 'Did the fort come to his hands?' is the crux of the story.

The great strength of the film is the locations chosen by the director Dharani Rajendran to bring the world he envisioned to reality on the screen. Although the scenes reflect some realism, the overriding emotion of the film is aggression and seething anger.

The songs did not attract much attention. Computer graphics are poor. The background music fails to emphasize the grandeur the story needs. Even if all these are seen as flaws of the film, for having taken such a new initiative in hand, we can put these flaws aside and trust Yathisai.

Yaathisai continues to lead at the box office collection among all the Tamil films that were released last week. The film holds an upper hand over Yogi Babu's Yaanai Mugathaan and Vemal's Deiva Machan that were released on the same day. It is not an easy task for a periodic film that is made in a minimum budget to win bigger than the typical commercial comedy films.
