Producer KE Gnanavel Raja revealed during an interview with Idlebrain on Friday that director Siva will collaborate with Ajith Kumar on his next film. The revelation came while Gnanavel Raja was discussing the potential sequel to Kanguva, Siva's latest big-budget venture starring Suriya.

Confirming plans for Kanguva 2, Gnanavel Raja said, "Siva will first direct Ajith Kumar in his next film. After that, we will begin production of Kanguva 2." He further disclosed that the sequel is slated to begin filming in April 2025, aiming for a grand release during the Pongal holidays in January 2026.

The collaboration between Siva and Ajith Kumar has previously delivered hits such as Veeram (2014), Vedalam (2015), Vivegam (2017), and Viswasam (2019). This upcoming project will mark their fifth venture together, raising fan expectations for another blockbuster.
