Filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj took to Instagram to review the film and praised the 'good performance' of the cast, calling it a 'well made' film, he wrote, "Watched #Alangu - A raw n rustic action film about a Man's love to a Dog based on a shocking true incident... Technically well made and really good performances from the whole cast.... Congratulations."

Alangu Cast, Crew, Plot

Alangu features an ensemble cast like Gunanidhi as Dharman, Chemban Vinod, Kaali Venkat, Sarath Appani as Philip, Sreerekha as Thangam, Regin Rose, Master Ajay, among others.

The plot of the story revolves around Dharman, a tribal boy, who has to travel to Kerala with his friends and dear dog, kaali, in order to keep his promise to his mother. The movie takes a twist when he has to face ruthless political figures in his way, however, he must overcome it as they were being hunted. Will he be able to succeed in the way?

To unveil everything, the thriller drama is all set to release on December 27 in theatres.
