Amaran Box Office Collection: The Tamil biographical action-war film Amaran, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, made its global debut on October 31, 2024, aligning with Diwali festivities. Co-produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India, the film stars Sivakarthikeyan as Major Mukund Varadarajan, paying tribute to the celebrated war hero. Sivakarthikeyan leads a talented ensemble cast, including Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Lallu, Shreekumar, Shyam Mohan, Ajaey Naga Raaman, Mir Salman, and Gaurav Venkatesh.

The makers of Amaran proudly announced that the film crossed the ₹200 crore mark worldwide within its first 10 days. According to film industry tracker AB George, Amaran has grossed over ₹105 crore in Tamil Nadu alone, with worldwide collection estimates reaching around ₹220 crore. This impressive performance solidifies Amaran as a major success for Sivakarthikeyan and director Rajkumar Periasamy, attracting strong audiences both domestically and overseas.
Amaran Cast and Crew
Amaran features an outstanding cast, with Sivakarthikeyan portraying Major Mukund "Maddy" Varadarajan in the lead role. Sai Pallavi plays his wife, Indhu Rebecca Varghese, while Bhuvan Arora takes on the role of Sepoy Vikram Singh and Rahul Bose plays Colonel Amit Singh Dabas, Mukund's commanding officer. The ensemble also includes Lallu as Ravi Shankar, Shreekumar as Michael, Shyam Mohan as Indhu's brother, and Geetha Kailasam as Mukund's mother, Geetha Varadarajan. Umair Lateef appears as Waheed, with Ajaey Naga Raaman, Mir Salman, and Gaurav Venkatesh rounding out the cast.
Directed and co-written by Rajkumar Periasamy, Amaran is inspired by India's Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh, bringing Major Mukund's remarkable story to the screen. Produced by Kamal Haasan, R. Mahendran, and Vivek Krishnani, the film showcases CH Sai's captivating cinematography, R. Kalaivanan's seamless editing, and a stirring score by G.V. Prakash Kumar.
