Ayalaan Box Office Collection Day 2: After the success of Maaveeran, Tamil star Kartikeyan finally returned to the silver screen with his latest film Ayalaan. Directed by R. Ravikumar and produced by Kotapadi J. Rajesh under KJR Studios, the science fiction drama revolves around a group of friends who form a connection with an alien, who a group of scientists is chasing.

Also starring Rakul Preet Singh, Sharad Kelkar, Bhanupriya, Yogi Babu, and Isha Koppikar among others in pivotal roles, Ayalaan is getting a good response from critics as well as moviegoers and took a good opening at the ticket window.

In the festive weekend of Pongal, Ayalaan faced competition with another Tamil biggie, Dhanush's Captain Miller releasing. However, the film took a decent opening earning over Rs 4 crore at the box office.

After a good opening, Kartikeyan-starrer Ayalaan is expected to witness a big jump on Saturday (January 13), the second day of its release. After taking an opening of Rs 4 crore, the Tamily drama is expected to collect around Rs 5.5 crore at the ticket window on Day 2. However, the official figures are still awaited and this is just a prediction.

The movie, a collaborative effort between KJR Studios and 24 AM Studios, features a musical score by the renowned AR Rahman, cinematography by Nirav Shah, and editing by Ruben. Ayalaan has graced screens in multiple languages, catering to a wide audience with its expansive appeal as a science fiction drama.

In October 2016, 24AM Studios initially announced the film with the working title SK14, signifying Sivakarthikeyan's 14th lead role. However, the studio withdrew from the project, and it was subsequently taken over by KJR Studios. The official title was unveiled in February 2020.

The principal photography began in June 2018, primarily in Chennai. The filming concluded shoot in early January 2021, facing delays attributed to financial issues, actors' engagements in other projects, and the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it has finally got released and is doing well.
