Ayalaan Box Office Collection Prediction Day 5: Sivakarthikeyan’s Film To Remain Steady, Inches Close To 25Cr

Sivakarthiykeyan, who has been in the talk of the town for years for his sci-fi action film, has finally given the perfect Pongal gift to the fans with the release of his much talked about movie Ayalaan. This R Raviumar has been in the making for around seven years and also features Rakul Preet Singh, Sharad Kelkar, Isha Koppikar, Bhanupriya, Yogi Babu, Karunakaran and Bala Saravanan. And while Ayalaan was released amid much fan buzz, it has managed to open on a decent opening.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Ayalaan witnessed an opening day collection of Rs 3.2 crores and has been seeing continuous growth ever since. This Sivakarthikeyan starrer raked in Rs 4.35 crores on day 2 (first Saturday) and Rs 5.15 crores on day 3 (first Sunday). In fact, Ayalaan also passed the crucial Monday test with flying colours amid Pongal celebrations and minted Rs 6.75 crores which took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 19.45 crores.

And now, given the trend, Ayalaan is likely to remain steady at the box office and mint around Rs 5 crores today (day 5/first Tuesday) and inch close to Rs 25 crores. Interestingly, Ayalaan is witnessing a box office clash with Dhanush starrer period action adventure Captain Miller and the latter is giving a tough competition to this Sivakarthikeyan starrer.

Meanwhile talking about Captain Miller's clash with R. Ravikumar's directorial Ayalaan, director Arun Matheswaran said, "I, Ravikumar and Sivakartikeyan are mutual friends and play cricket together. Moreover, I'm very happy for Ravikumar because when I started Rocky, he started the film Ayalaan. I don't know how but from then onwards till today he has held on to that film. This is what I love about Ravikumar is how he never disowned the movie even after getting delayed like this. I don't know who else has that kind of perseverance. It feels disheartening how a talented filmmaker like him had to wait for such a long time but also love how he is still standing by his film".
