Bison OTT: Dhruv Vikram & Mari Selvaraj Film's Rights Sold

The epic and coming-of-age Kollywood filmmaker Mari Selvaraj, who has a remarkable portfolio, announced his next, a sports-based action drama titled Bison aka Bison Kaalamaadan. The movie is said to be a biopic on a Kabaddi player-turned-politician Manathi P Ganesan. Anupama Parameswaran is the film's leading lady and the official puja was recently held in Chennai.

On this occasion, the filmmakers released the intriguing title and poster featuring Dhruv Vikram as the protagonist on May 6. The movie drew attention instantly and the expectations soared for this movie, which is being helmed by Applause Entertainment and Neelam Studios. Pa Ranjith is presenting the film.

Mari Selvaraj announced the movie with Dhruv in 2022 itself and the filming began recently. Dhruv Vikram has undergone a strict regimen to prepare himself physically to fit the character of a Kabaddi player.

The movie is based on the life of Manathi P Ganesan, who is the second sportsman from Kabaddi to receive the Arjuna Award from the government of India in 1995. He was also a politician.

The OTT giant Netflix is said to have acquired the digital streaming rights to Dhruv Vikram and Anupama Parameswaran's film by Mari Selvaraj. The makers have signed the deal for a handsome amount and are already in the safe zone, business-wise.

Written and directed by Mari Selvaraj, this actioner will feature cinematography by Ezhil Arasu and Nivas K Prasanna is onboard as the film's music composer. Sakthi Tiru will for as the editor while Kumar Gangappam will head the Art and Production Design. Dhilip Subbarayan will work as the stunt choreographer.
