Captain Miller Box Office Collection Prediction Day 5: Dhanush’s Film Likely To Witness A Dip On 1st Tuesday

Dhanush, who is one of the most renowned and loved actors in Tamil film industry, has come up with a perfect Pongal gift for the fans this year with his recent release. We are talking about Arun Matheswaran directorial Captain Miller which happens to be a period action adventure film. Also starring Shiva Rajkumar, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Aditi Balan, Sundeep Kishan, Edward Sonnenblick and John Kokken, the movie has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
And while Captain Miller was released amid much fanfare, it opened to a decent collection of Rs 8.7 crores on day 1 as per Sacnilk. Interestingly, this Dhanush starrer saw a steady opening weekend with a collection of Rs 7.45 crores on day 2 (first Saturday) and Rs 7.8 crores on day 3 (first Sunday). In fact, it also crossed the crucial Monday test with flying colours due to Pongal celebrations and raked in Rs 6.79 crores on Monday (day 4) in all languages combined.
Given the trend and the ongoing Pongal celebrations, there is a possibility that Captain Miller will be seeing a slight dip in collections today (day 5/ first Tuesday) but will continue to have a steady hold at the box office. Captain Miller is expected to mint Rs 5-6 crores today all languages combined.
Interestingly, Captain Miller is witnessing a box office clash with Sivakarthikeyan starrer sci-fi drama Ayalaan and the latter is giving a tough competition to this Dhanush starrer.
Meanwhile talking about Captain Miller's clash with R. Ravikumar's directorial Ayalaan, director Arun Matheswaran said, "I, Ravikumar and Sivakartikeyan are mutual friends and play cricket together. Moreover, I'm very happy for Ravikumar because when I started Rocky, he started the film Ayalaan. I don't know how but from then onwards till today he has held on to that film. This is what I love about Ravikumar is how he never disowned the movie even after getting delayed like this. I don't know who else has that kind of perseverance. It feels disheartening how a talented filmmaker like him had to wait for such a long time but also love how he is still standing by his film".
