Dhanush And Aishwarya’s Divorce Case: Both Parties Firm In Decision, Court To Deliver Ruling In Days

Dhanush And Aishwarya's Divorce Case: Dhanush, the celebrated actor known for his stellar performances in Tamil and Hindi cinema, has been no stranger to the spotlight, both for his career achievements and controversies surrounding his personal life. Recently, he found himself at the center of another public dispute, this time with actress Nayanthara.
In a scathing three-page open letter, Nayanthara accused Dhanush of harboring personal grudges over her romantic relationship with filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, which began during the production of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, a film produced by Dhanush's Wunderbar Films. Nayanthara claimed that Dhanush intentionally delayed the release of her Netflix documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale, by two years. She also alleged that he had sent her a legal notice demanding ₹10 crores as compensation for a three-second clip from the movie, which was used as behind-the-scenes footage in the documentary. While Nayanthara's accusations made headlines, Dhanush remained tight-lipped, and his father publicly dismissed the claims as false.
Amidst these ongoing controversies, the focus has now shifted to Dhanush's personal life, particularly his marriage to Aishwarya, the daughter of the legendary Rajinikanth. The couple got married in 2004 and has two children together. However, after 18 years of marriage, they announced their separation in 2022, and Aishwarya subsequently filed for divorce in Chennai's family welfare court.
Court to Deliver Final Ruling on Separation on November 27
According to reports, the divorce proceedings have been slow, with the case being postponed three times due to both parties missing previous hearings. This fueled rumors of a potential reconciliation, especially after the couple was seen attending the first-day-first-show of Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan together, with Dhanush even publicly congratulating Rajinikanth on the movie's success.
On the latest court date today in Chennai, both Dhanush and Aishwarya appeared before the judge at noon. Aishwarya was present at 10:30 AM, while Dhanush arrived an hour later. During the hearing, both parties reportedly expressed their desire to no longer live together and requested that their marriage be officially declared null and void. Following these proceedings, the judge announced that a final ruling on the divorce case will be made on November 27th.
