Sun TV's popular show Ilakkiya is set to witness a massive change in the cast as one of the lead cast has announced her exit from the show. We are talking about Hima Bindhu who was seen playing the lead role of Ilakkiya in the family drama. The diva had won millions of hearts with her stint in the show. And while she has been associated with the show since 2022, she recently announced her exit from Ilakkiya.

And while her decision came as a shock to everyone, Hima has revealed the real reason behind her exit from the show. In a heartfelt note, Hima revealed that how it was difficult for her to take the decision of quitting the show. The actress emphasised that she had to take the decision has balancing tv and movies was becoming difficult for her and was causing immense stress and pressure which was affecting the show.

Hima wrote, "Dear everyone, I want you all to know how deeply grateful I am for the incredible support, love and connection I've shared with my co-actor's and our wonderful fans. It's with a heavy heart that I have made the decision to leave Ilakkiya set.

I apologise if my decision has disappointed any of you. Please don't be sad or feel let down. It was a difficult choice influenced by various factors and circumstances beyond my control.

Balancing both the serial and movies has been overwhelming not just for me but also for my co-actors and the talented technicians at Ilakkiya. I realised that this was causing us due pressure and stress for everyone involved. I couldn't bear to disrupt the project any further.

My utmost desire was for everyone to work in a peaceful environment, devoid of any stress or confusion. Unfortunately, this meant stepping away from the project.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for contributing to the success of Ilakkiya until this very moment. Your unwavering support means the world to me. Please continue to extend your love and support to everyone involved.

Meanwhile, Hima has been replaced by Shambavy Gurumoorthy as Ilakkiya Gowtham and she has already begun shooting for the show
