Kamal Haasan's Last FIVE Films Box Office Collection: As the clock is ticking for the grand and anticipated release of the hyped sequel of the Indian (1996) movie titled Indian 2's release, fans are filled with mixed reactions and have been keeping their expectations in check. Shankar's collaboration with Kamal Haasan after several decades is indeed a special occasion and the movie Indian 2 is one of the highly awaited releases this year.

In standard and IMAX formats, the sequel is finally going to premiere on July 12 worldwide in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. Featuring Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and others in the sequel this time, Indian 2 has been made for many years and is bigger in many aspects.

The hyped sequel now has a break-even target of Rs 25 Crore in Telugu, to register a clean hit at the box office. Taking the Tamil Nadu figures into consideration, the movie should make more than double the amount to be called a hit. It is worth mentioning that the movie Indian (1996) is an all-time industry hit as it made Rs 60 Crore at the box office against a budget of 8 Crore.

Vikram: Until Ponniyin Selvan took over, Kamal Haasan broke the previous records of the Kollywood box office and set it straight with his action-thriller by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Vikram made Rs 428 Crore at the box office by the end of its theatrical run. After a hiatus, Kamal Haasan's Vikram gave him a major push, and fans of the Ulaganayagan have breathed a sigh of relief.

Vishwaroopam 2, a sequel to Vishwaroopam, was released in 2018. The movie which stars Andrea Jeremiah and Pooja Kumar among others met with mixed reactions at the box office and earned only about Rs 53 Crore against a budget of Rs 110 Crore, becoming one of the huge disasters.

Thoongaa Vanam, a remake of 'Nuit Blanche,' a French film starring Prakash Raj and Trisha among others was released in 2015. The actioner was made on a budget of Rs 30 Crore and earned Rs 41 Crore, remaining as an average grosser.

Uttama Villain is a movie that showcased Kamal Haasan in yet another different role with several characteristics to the role he portrayed as an actor who is about to die due to a tumor in his brain. The movie was made on a budget of Rs 40 Crore and earned Rs 48 Crore at the worldwide box office.

Vishwaroopam which was released in 2013 is one of the films that brought back the action image Kamal Haasan to the surface after a long time. He scored a massive success with this thriller directed by him. Against a budget of Rs 75 Crore, the movie registered a worldwide gross of Rs 109 Crore.

Bharateeyudu 2 Cast
This vigilante action film sequel stars Kamal Haasan as Veerasekaran Senapathy aka Indian. In addition, the movie stars S.J. Suryah, Kajal Aggarwal, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh, Siddharth, Nedumudi Venu as Krishnaswamy IPS, Kalidas Jayaram, Gulshan Grover, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Brahmanandam, Zakir Hussain, Piyush Mishra, Guru Somasundaram, Delhi Ganesh, Shivaji Guruvayoor, Deepa Shankar, Anant Mahadevan, George Maryan, Vinod Sagar, Akhilendra Mishra, and Benedict Garrett among others in key roles for various versions. Late Vivek, G Marimuthu, and Manobala will be part of the film as the makers wanted to leave their portions intact.

Bharateeyudu 2 Crew
Written and directed by S Shankar, the sequel titled Indian 2 is being helmed by Subaskaran Allirajah and Udhayanidhi Stalin under their Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies banners on an approximate budget of Rs 250 Crore. Ravi Varma is cranking the camera and A. Sreekar Prasad is the film's editor. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the film's entire background score and music.
