India's popular short video making app Josh has given a stage to several creators and independent artists to showcase their talent. However, it hasn't been an easy task as content creation also demands a lot of patience, hard work and consistency. Amid this, Josh Artist Anandh Rajendran aka A R Anandh has shared his journey and the challenges he faced in his journey.

For the uninitiated, 28 year old Anandh belongs Hosur and works as an Operation Specialist for an American bank and is currently based in Chennai. He is deeply passionate about music and followed his passion to become an independent music producer, singer, and songwriter. "Music is not just a hobby for me but a way of life, allowing me to express my creativity and connect with people on a deeper level. Whether it's through my professional work or my musical endeavors, I strive to make a positive impact and share my passion with the world," Anand emphasised"

Talking about his journey, Anandh stated, "Being an independent artist comes with its unique set of challenges. One of the primary struggles is gaining visibility in a highly competitive industry. Without the backing of a major record label, it can be difficult to reach a wider audience and get your music heard. Marketing and promotion become crucial but can also be costly and time-consuming. Additionally, balancing financial stability while pursuing a passion for music can be tough. Independent artists often need to invest their own money into production, distribution, and promotion, all while managing other responsibilities. There's also the challenge of maintaining creative control while meeting the demands and expectations of listeners".

Despite all the challenges that came his way, he calls his journey rewarding as it gives him the freedom to create authentic music and joy to connect with fans. So far, he has released over 45 songs and have contributed to various short films and jingles with his work available on Spotify.

Sharing a piece of advice for the budding artist, Anandh concluded, "Persistence is the key, and quantity with quality is also important. Learn to unlearn and do not fear or follow what other successful people have done. You are unique, and what worked for them might not work for you. Create your own style of work. People love authenticity".
