Kanguva Box Office Collection: The Tamil epic fantasy action film Kanguva, directed by Siva and co-produced by Studio Green and UV Creations, premiered worldwide on November 14, 2024. Suriya's Kanguva had a flat performance during its extended FSS weekend at the domestic box office, managing just over ₹10 crore per day, according to box office tracker Cinetrak. The film grossed ₹57 crore in India over the long weekend, excluding 3D charges. Early overseas numbers indicate a lukewarm response, with the film grossing approximately $2.5 million, bringing its global total to an estimated ₹78 crore.

Kanguva Cast and Crew

Kanguva, announced in April 2019, faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and scheduling conflicts before production resumed in August 2022. Filmed over 17 months across scenic locations like Chennai, Goa, Kerala, Kodaikanal, and Rajahmundry, the shoot wrapped up in January 2024. With a budget ranging from ₹300 to ₹350 crore, it stands as one of the most expensive films in Indian cinema. The technical team includes composer Devi Sri Prasad, cinematographer Vetri Palanisamy, and editor Nishadh Yusuf.

In the film, Suriya plays dual roles as Kanguva and Francis Theodore, while Bobby Deol portrays the antagonist Udhiran, and Disha Patani plays Angelina. The supporting cast features strong performances from Natarajan Subramaniam, K. S. Ravikumar, Yogi Babu as Colt 95, Redin Kingsley as Accelerator, and Kovai Sarala, along with notable actors like Mansoor Ali Khan, Vatsan Chakravarthy, Ravi Raghavendra, Karunas, and many others.
