Kanguva Cameo: The Tamil epic fantasy action film Kanguva, directed by Siva and produced by Studio Green and UV Creations, premiered globally on November 14, 2024. Starring Suriya in dual roles, the film features an impressive cast including Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Natarajan Subramaniam, Kovai Sarala, and K. S. Ravikumar. It is available in standard, 3D, and IMAX formats.
The release of Kanguva has set theaters abuzz, thanks to an electrifying climax featuring Suriya's impressive six-pack abs. Yet, it's the surprise cameo that has truly taken fans by storm. This unexpected twist adds another layer of excitement, sparking even more enthusiasm among audiences. Kanguva Cast and Crew
Kanguva, initially announced in April 2019, faced multiple delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and scheduling conflicts, with production resuming in August 2022. Filmed in breathtaking locations like Chennai, Goa, Kerala, Kodaikanal, and Rajahmundry, the movie wrapped its extensive 17-month shoot in January 2024. With an estimated budget between ₹300 to ₹350 crore, Kanguva ranks among the most expensive Indian films ever produced. The film's technical crew includes composer Devi Sri Prasad, cinematographer Vetri Palanisamy, and editor Nishadh Yusuf.
The film stars Suriya in dual roles as Kanguva and Francis Theodore, with Bobby Deol as the antagonist Udhiran and Disha Patani as Angelina. Supporting roles are portrayed by Natarajan Subramaniam, K. S. Ravikumar, Yogi Babu as Colt 95, Redin Kingsley as Accelerator, and Kovai Sarala, along with actors such as Mansoor Ali Khan, Vatsan Chakravarthy, and Karunas. A special cameo by composer Anirudh Ravichander as a dancer in the song "Yolo" adds to the excitement.
Directed by Siva, Kanguva was written by Siva, Adhi Narayana, and Madhan Karky, who also crafted the dialogues. Produced by K. E. Gnanavel Raja, V. Vamsi Krishna Reddy, and Pramod Uppalapati under the Studio Green and UV Creations banners, the film showcases Vetri Palanisamy's cinematography, Nishadh Yusuf's editing, and a powerful score by Devi Sri Prasad.
