Kanguva OTT Release: The Tamil epic fantasy action film Kanguva, directed by Siva and produced by Studio Green and UV Creations, had its global premiere on November 14, 2024. Starring Suriya in dual roles, the film features a stellar cast including Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Natarajan Subramaniam, Kovai Sarala, and K. S. Ravikumar. Kanguva was released in standard, 3D, and IMAX formats.

Kanguva OTT Release Date and Platform

Amazon Prime Video has secured the OTT rights for Kanguva, which is scheduled to premiere on the platform on December 8. The streaming service made the announcement today via Instagram, where they shared: "A tale as old as time & a LEGACY that lives on KANGUVA arrives to settle it all #KanguvaOnPrime, Dec 8. (sic)." The film will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Production Journey and Star-Studded Cast & Crew of Kanguva

Kanguva, initially announced in April 2019, encountered delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and scheduling conflicts before production resumed in August 2022. Filming took place over 17 months, with stunning locations like Chennai, Goa, Kerala, Kodaikanal, and Rajahmundry, wrapping up in January 2024. With a production budget estimated between ₹300 and ₹350 crore, it ranks among the priciest films in Indian cinema. The technical team includes composer Devi Sri Prasad, cinematographer Vetri Palanisamy, and editor the late Nishadh Yusuf.

In Kanguva, Suriya plays dual roles as Kanguva and Francis Theodore, while Bobby Deol portrays the antagonist Udhiran, and Disha Patani stars as Angelina. The strong supporting cast includes Natarajan Subramaniam, K. S. Ravikumar, Yogi Babu as Colt 95, Redin Kingsley as Accelerator, Kovai Sarala, Mansoor Ali Khan, Vatsan Chakravarthy, Ravi Raghavendra, Karunas, Bose Venkat, Harish Uthaman, Anandaraj, T. M.
