Kanguva Part 2 Confirmed: Suriya's Period Fantasy Actioner To Have Sequel; Producer Says, 'We Finished Part 1'

Producer Confirms Sequel To Suriya's Kanguva: One of the highly loved superstar of south Indian industries, Suriya is ready to cast his spell with a fantasy period action drama written and directed by Siva. The movie titled 'Kanguva' is one of the next big releases of the year.

Kanguva gearing up for a grand theatrical release in five languages on October 10 for the Diwali festival season. The movie's glimpse which was released recently became a sensation garnering attention and great buzz around the film's release. The movie which stars Disha Patani and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles will be released in five languages and in IMAX, standard, and 3D formats.

Kanguva's Premise

Kanguva is the story of a warrior who lived in 1678 and died due to a disease. In today's world, a girl is actively researching the disease that killed the warrior of the 16th century.

Kanguva Part 2 Will Be There: KE Gnanavel Raja

Speaking at an interview recently, one of the producers of Suriya's Kanguva, KE Gnanavel Raja of the Studio Green banner mentioned that there will be two parts of Kanguva. He reportedly said, "We wrote the story for part 1 and part 2. We finished the first part. We have yet to begin production of the sequel. We took 185 days to complete the shoot of Kanguva 1. The second part will start at the end of 2025 or early 2026. We are planning to release Kanguva 2 in 2027 January or Summer."

He also added, "If part 1 is staged neatly, part 2 will be received like anything. We have something exciting for the audience at the end of the first part to hook them for the sequel."

This Suriya film stars Bollywood actor Disha Patani, Bobby Deol, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, Ravi Raghavendra, KS Ravi Kumar, Jagapathi Babu, Natarajan Subramaniam, and BS Avinash among other in pivotal characters.
