Kanguva Box Office Collection: The Tamil epic fantasy action film Kanguva, directed by Siva and produced by Studio Green and UV Creations, hit theaters worldwide on November 14, 2024. The film stars Suriya in dual roles, alongside a talented cast that includes Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Natarajan Subramaniam, Kovai Sarala, and K. S. Ravikumar. Kanguva is available in standard, 3D, and IMAX formats.

According to film industry tracker AB George, Kanguva has secured the 6th biggest opening of the year in Tamil Nadu, surpassing Raayan (₹11.10 crores) and ranking just behind Thangalaan. The film also marks a significant career milestone for actor Suriya, as it is his biggest opening to date. With an impressive ₹11.30 crores in gross collections on its opening day, Kanguva becomes the 34th biggest opening in Tamil Nadu box office history. Additionally, it ranks as the top opening day gross collection of 2024 in the state, following GOAT (₹31 crores), Vettaiyan (₹19.50 crores), Amaran (₹15.75 crores), Indian 2 (₹13 crores), and Thangalaan (₹12.50 crores).

Kanguva Cast and Crew

Announced in April 2019, Kanguva faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and scheduling issues, eventually resuming production in August 2022. Filming took place across picturesque locations such as Chennai, Goa, Kerala, Kodaikanal, and Rajahmundry, with the 17-month shoot concluding in January 2024. With a budget ranging between ₹300 and ₹350 crore, Kanguva stands as one of the most expensive Indian films ever made. The technical team includes composer Devi Sri Prasad, cinematographer Vetri Palanisamy, and editor Nishadh Yusuf.

In Kanguva, Suriya portrays dual roles as Kanguva and Francis Theodore, with Bobby Deol playing the antagonist Udhiran and Disha Patani as Angelina. The supporting cast features Natarajan Subramaniam, K. S. Ravikumar, Yogi Babu as Colt 95, Redin Kingsley as Accelerator, and several other prominent actors such as Kovai Sarala, Mansoor Ali Khan, Vatsan Chakravarthy, Ravi Raghavendra, Karunas, Bose Venkat, Harish Uthaman, Anandaraj, T.
