Kanguva Box Office Collection: The Tamil epic fantasy action film Kanguva released worldwide on November 14, 2024. Directed by Siva and co-produced by Studio Green and UV Creations, the film stars Suriya in dual roles, alongside an ensemble cast featuring Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Yogi Babu, and K. S. Ravikumar. According to a report by Hindustan Times, Kanguva crossed ₹100 crore in global box office collections on its 11th day of release. With a reported budget of ₹350 crore, Kanguva stands as Suriya's most expensive project to date. Despite high expectations, the film received a largely negative response from both critics and audiences. Kanguva struggled with daily collections, failing to surpass ₹6 crore after its opening day. This decline led to significant theater withdrawals in Karnataka and Kerala, with the film now showing modest performance in Tamil Nadu. On its 11th day, it earned ₹0.87 crore in Tamil Nadu, bringing its total collection in the state to ₹37.7 crore. At the national level, the film has grossed ₹78.1 crore, with worldwide earnings reaching ₹101.1 crore, according to reports.

Kanguva Cast and Crew

Kanguva, first announced in April 2019, encountered delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and scheduling conflicts, with production resuming in August 2022. The film was shot over 17 months at stunning locations such as Chennai, Goa, Kerala, Kodaikanal, and Rajahmundry, and completed its shoot in January 2024. With an estimated budget of ₹300 to ₹350 crore, it is one of the most expensive films in Indian cinema. The technical team includes composer Devi Sri Prasad, cinematographer Vetri Palanisamy, and editor Nishadh Yusuf.

In Kanguva, Suriya plays dual roles as Kanguva and Francis Theodore, with Bobby Deol portraying the antagonist Udhiran and Disha Patani as Angelina. The supporting cast includes Natarajan Subramaniam, K. S. Ravikumar, Yogi Babu as Colt 95, Redin Kingsley as Accelerator, Kovai Sarala, Mansoor Ali Khan, Vatsan Chakravarthy, Ravi Raghavendra, Karunas, Bose Venkat, Harish Uthaman, Anandaraj, T. M.
