Meiyazhagan Box Office Collection Day 5 Prediction: Starring Karthi and Arvind Swami in the key roles, sensible filmmaker C. Prem Kumar's latest emotional drama, a slice-of-life film 'Meiyazhagan' was released to positive reviews worldwide on September 28. The film's Telugu version titled 'Sathyam Sundaram' was released a day later due to Jr NTR's Devara. In Tamil and Telugu, Meiyazhagan earned highly encouraging reviews and the collection at the box office has also been decent.

Meiyazhagan Synopsis

The movie is set in 1996. Arunmozhi Varman (Arvind Swami) was forced to leave his family house in Thanjavur along with his parents owing to a few problems. After 20 years, Arun returns to Guntur to attend his cousin's wedding and meets Meiyazhagan (Karthi). Eventually, he strikes a chord with Meiyazhagan but can't recognize who Sundaram is. Sathyam returns to Vizag and tries to discover Sundaram's identity.

The movie opened to a strong box office hold in Telugu and Tamil. The movie's Tamil version made a solid Rs 3 Crore on the release day in India. The movie started to pick the pace and will sustain with the upcoming long weekend coupled with the festive season. Karthi's Meiyazhagan so far earned Rs 16 Crore in five days.
