Napoleon, known for his iconic roles in over 70 films as both a villain and a hero, became a prominent figure in Indian cinema during the 1990s. His successful career on screen was followed by a noteworthy political journey. Inspired by the ideologies of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party, Napoleon joined politics under the mentorship of his uncle, K. N. Nehru, who was a respected public welfare minister. He was elected to the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly in 2001 and later served as a Member of Parliament after the 2009 Lok Sabha elections. He also held the position of Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment in the Union government.

However, after a successful run in both the entertainment and political arenas, Napoleon decided to step away from public life and settle in the United States. There, he has engaged in entrepreneurial activities and organic farming. He is married to Jayasudha and is the proud father of two sons, Dhanoosh and Kunal.

Dhanoosh, the elder son, has faced considerable challenges due to a rare muscle degeneration disease. Despite his health struggles, Dhanoosh has continued to support his father's ventures. His resilience has been a source of inspiration to many.

Earlier this year, in July, Dhanoosh got engaged to Akshaya, a woman from Moolakaraipatti in Tirunelveli. Following the engagement, Napoleon, according to an Asianet news report, decided to host the wedding in Japan, a country that holds special significance for Dhanoosh. Since Dhanoosh is unable to travel by plane due to his health condition, Napoleon arranged for him to travel by ship from the United States to Japan.

The wedding celebrations, including the Haldi function, were reportedly attended by several notable figures from the Tamil film industry. Celebrities like Meena, Radhika, Khushboo, Sarathkumar, and Pandiarajan made the journey to Japan to show their support. The Haldi ceremony took place at a luxurious five-star hotel, where the couple and guests dressed in vibrant yellow attire to mark the occasion.
