In Tamil Nadu, Pushpa 2 kickstarted its blockbuster theatrical journey with a collection of Rs 10.63 cr (including Wednesday's preview earnings). As per Sacnilk, the film maintained strong hold at the box office and earned around Rs 11.1 cr on Saturday (day 3) and Rs 13.1 cr on Sunday (day 4). According to Sacnilk updates, the sequel witnessed a sharp drop on first Monday (yesterday) and scored Rs 3.9 cr on day 5 approximately, taking the total gross collection to around Rs 46.58 cr in Tamil Nadu in 5 days. As per the same report, the total 5-day nett collection in the Tamil belt is reported to be at Rs 34.5 cr.

Despite a sharp drop yesterday, Pushpa 2 passed the first Monday test with flying colours. Given the current buzz, the film is likely to earn a gross amount of somewhere around Rs 3.5-5 cr today (first Tuesday, December 10) in Tamil Nadu.

If the prediction turns out to be right, Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 will touch the Rs 50 cr-mark in the Tamil Nadu region today itself, ahead of its 1st week in cinemas. To note, the sequel needs to earn approx. Rs 3.42 cr today to hit the mark.
