Raayan Advance Bookings Day 1: Dhanush Is Set To Take The Box Office On A Ride With His Revenge Thriller
Raayan Advance Bookings Day 1: Dhanush's 50th film, his second directorial titled 'Raayan' is ready to take over the big screens worldwide in Tamil and Telugu this week. The movie which also stars Selvaraghavan, Sundeep Kishan, and Kalidas Jayaram is going to be released amid massive hype and expectations.
Raayan was first scheduled for a theatrical release worldwide on June 13 but due to some reasons and to pave the way for other big-budget films, the release was postponed. The movie is now gearing up to enthrall the audiences and fans on July 26. Raayan has its entire music and score composed by none other than AR Rahman, the legend. Also, Sun Pictures spent about Rs 100 Crore on the making of Raayan, which is the actor's costliest film to date.
Raayan Synopsis
After Raayan's family is killed, he gets trained to avenge their deaths and in the meantime, he brushes shoulders with the criminals from the underworld.
Raayan Advance Bookings Day 1 in Tamil & Telugu
According to the Sacnilk website, the advance bookings for Dhanush's film Raayan are very encouraging. For the release day, the Raayan Tamil version sold about 97774 tickets from 1858 shows earning a gross of Rs 14776854.75.
Similarly, Raayan's Telugu version made about Rs 1398796 Gross by selling as many as 11320 tickets for 467 shows. Put together, with blocked seats, it is Rs 28568174 (Rs 2.86 Crore), reportedly.
Raayan Cast
Dhanush played the title role of Raayan in his directorial. Nithya Menen, Prakash Raj, S.J. Suryah, Aparna Balamurali, Amala Paul, Sundeep Kishan, Selvaraghavan, Kalidas Jayaram, Anikha Surendran, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Dushara Vijayan, Saravanan, and Sajol Chowdhury played key roles in the movie.

Funded by Sun Pictures helmed by Kalanithi Maran, Raayan has its entire background score and music by A.R. Rahman. Om Prakash cranked the camera and Prasanna GK worked as the film's editor.
