Raayan Synopsis

Raayan aka Kaartavaraayan (Dhanush), is a youngster who lives his life with his brothers Muthuvelaraayan (Sundeep Kishan), Maanikyaraayam (Kalidas Jayaram) and sister Duraga (Dushara Vijayan). Muthu is involved in a scuffle with a gangster called Dorai's (Sravanan) goons which leads to grave consequences. Sethuram (SJ Suryah), on the other hand, is a gangster who wants to end Raayan. What is the reason behind Sethuram's murder plan? What happens to Muthuvelaraayan? Who is Raayan? The answers to these questions are all about the movie Raayan.

After touching about Rs 75 Crore at the worldwide box office in the opening weekend, Dhanush's Raayan movie has earned more than Rs 100 Crore quickly and is a blockbuster. In Tamil Nadu alone, the movie made over Rs 65 Crore from about Rs 78 Crore in India (Tamil & Telugu). Raayan is now ready to become the highest-grossing Tamil film in Tamil Nadu this year so far.
