Rajinikanth Fan From Pudukottai Makes Money From Taboo Topics

Veera's journey from a South Indian town to being a content creator is a story of perseverance. Growing up in a small town called Aranthangi (Pudukkottai Dist) near Thanjavur, Veera is a Rajnikanth fan who always dreamed of making it big in films.

But, life took its course after school and Veera completed his engineering in Pudukkottai. Then, he set his sights on Chennai. He found a 9-5 job in Chennai at a manufacturing unit. His life was full of struggles but he was content with life. He also found his girlfriend during these days. Everything was going great until the COVID pandemic struck. Veera was laid off from his job. Worse, his girlfriend also left him.

Veera said, "It was the darkest time of my life, the love of my life left me because she told me I was living a mediocre life. She called me a failure and it broke my heart. In those dark moments, Veera remembered his childhood dreams. "'Superstar Rajinikanth' had always been my idol and inspiration. He rekindled my desire to become an actor. By some coincidence, I was referred for an assistant director role in a Tamil movie, and this job helped to distract me from the pain."

This is where life changed. As Veera says, "I enjoyed every minute of it, the long hours and a lot of running. It helped me feel good about myself, and I decided I didn't want to take another 9-5 job. I desperately wanted to be an actor. However, I met with several rejections, which meant I had no returns and no money.

"At this point I knew I had to try something radically different to get some attention. I knew that social media platforms like Josh and Instagram were big, but I had to stand out."

He chose 'sher ka rasta' like his idol Rajnikanth. He decided to address taboo topics that society and small towns did not discuss. He decided to challenge what people think is normal. He teamed up with three female anchors and began to talk about these taboo topics. Soon he saw great traction on Josh and began to push the boundaries. In a few months, he crossed 100K followers.
