In her post, Divya shared their emotional journey and wrote, "This is an appreciation post for all single parents. My amma has been a coma patient for 4 years. She is at home, and we feed her through a PEG tube. We were totally shattered, but we will wait for a medical breakthrough with hope and positivity. We know we will get amma back. Appa has been a great single parent for 4 years. Appa's mom passed away a few years ago, and I have also been a single mom to my appa. Appa and I form a POWERFUL SINGLE MOMS CLUB."

Divya also responded to followers' inquiries about the cause of her mother's condition. In reply to a comment on her post asking what happened to her mother, she said, "She had a brain hemorrhage; doctors gave up hope, but we haven't."
