Sivakarthikeyan Amaran Release Date Postponed: Amaran Release Date Plans Changed: Sivakarthikeyan aka SK is now ready with another action entertainer, a serious one, titled Amaran. The movie is a biographical action war film based on India's Most Fearless by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy on a budget of about Rs 150 Crore to Rs 200 Crore, the movie stars Sai Pallavi as the female lead.

Rajkumar Periasamy made his directorial debut with Rangoon, featuring Gautham Karthik. He then directed the Bigg Boss Tamil show, winning the appreciation and confidence of Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan, who now allowed him to direct another film which is Amaran.

The cast and crew have completed the film's shooting in Kashmir and the remaining portions of the climax are now being canned in Chennai. In a month, the entire shooting will be completed, say the sources.

Amaran Release Date Update

Going by the latest update, Amaran filmmakers are discussing the film's release date, which might now clash with Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming hyped film by Venkat Prabhu titled 'The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT).' GOAT is expected to hit the screens on September 27 and at first, Amaran is slated for a theatrical release on September 5, on the occasion of Vinayaka Chaturthi. However, the makers are now contemplating postponement to September 27, which might result in a clash.

The movie stars Sivakarthikeyan as Major Mukund Varadarajan aka Maddy, Sai Pallavi as Indhu Rebecca Varghese, Bhuvan Arora as Sepoy Vikram Singh, Rahul Bose, Lallu, Shreekumar, Hanun Bawra, Lada Singh, Vikas Bangar, Ajaey Naga as Rajesh Shukla, Mir Salmaan as Saifudeen, Gaurav Venkatesh as Venkanna, and Shyam Moan among others in key roles.

Amaran Crew

The movie written and directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, who also handled the entire screenplay. Jointly produced by Kamal Haasan, R.Mahendran, and Vivek Krishnani under the production banners Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India, the movie has music by G.V. Prakash Kumar. Ch Sai cranked the camera and R.Kalaivanan worked as the editor.
