Sorgavaasal Premise

A common man, trapped in a corrupt system, ends up in prison, facing a profound dilemma: do prisons rehabilitate people, or do they push them further into a life of crime?The title Sorgavaasal is inspired by the 1954 film of the same name, penned by C. N. Annadurai, the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

Lokesh Kanagaraj, who launched the Sorgavaasal trailer alongside Anirudh Ravichander, reworked the script of his forthcoming Kaithi 2 after attending a special screening of the film, particularly due to its significant jail sequences.
