Sorgavaasal Premise

An ordinary man, caught in a corrupt system, ends up in prison and grapples with a deep moral question: do prisons reform individuals, or do they push them further into a life of crime? The title Sorgavaasal is a reference to the 1954 film of the same name, written by former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. N. Annadurai.

Lokesh Kanagaraj, who unveiled the trailer of Sorgavaasal alongside Anirudh Ravichander, revised the script of his upcoming film Kaithi 2 after watching the film in a special screening, as it also features several jail sequences.

The cast of Sorgavaasal features a talented ensemble, with RJ Balaji portraying Parthi and Selvaraghavan as Siga.
