Suresh Sangaiah, Kollywood Filmmaker Dies At A Young Age Due To Liver Disease; Condolences Pour In
Kollywood Filmmaker Suresh Sangiah Dies: Young Kollywood filmmaker Suresh Sangaiah died unfortunately at a young age on November 15 following Liver failure, in Chennai. Condolences are pouring in for the director's family and friends.
'Oru Kidayin Karunai' fame Suresh Sangaiah, who has been undergoing treatment for liver failure for sometime at the Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital finally gave up his fight and the news has been confirmed by his family and friends from the industry. Cinematographer Saran was the first to confirm the news.
Filmmaker Halitha Shameem also was one of the first few colleagues of Suresh Sangaiah who took to her social media handles to share the condolence message, breaking the sad news. She wrote, "Shocked and saddened to hear about @sureshsangaiah's passing. I've always held #OruKidayinKarunaiManu as a precious film and now with a deeper significance, (sic)"
Suresh Singaiah's Professional Life
The young filmmaker began his career in Kollywood as an assistant director to M Manikandan from his debut film Kaaka Muttai. Suresh started following his dreams to become a director immediately after gaining some experience. In 2015, he developed the 'Oru Kidayin Karunai Manu' movie's script and took it on the sets with Vidharth as the lead. The movie hit the screens in 2017 and earned a positive response as well as critical acclaim.
His second film is Sathiya Sothanai featuring Premgi Amaren. The release was delayed due to COVID-19 and finally hit the screens in 2023 to mixed reviews. He also recently finished a film starring Yogi Babu for a Disney Plus Hotstar OTT platform.
Suresh Sangaiah is survived by his wife and two children. His final rites will be performed at his native place towards the end of the day. Much information will be reported here as and when it happens.
