The superstar and the Thalapathy of Kollywood, Vijay, is currently gearing up for the release of his highly-awaited sci-fi action-thriller titled 'The Greatest of All Time (GOAT)' which is going to hit the screens worldwide on September 5. The movie written and directed by Venkat Prabhu is expected to surpass all the previous records of Kollywood, given the hype around it.

As the actor is said to have taken his political career seriously by bidding goodbye to his glorious acting career, the buzz about his last film Thalapathy 69 (#Thalapathy69) settled down as Thalapathy 70 (#Thalapathy70) is trending big time, delighting his die-hard fans.

On the other hand, the production house DVV Entertainment, which produced the epic 'RRR' movie under the direction of SS Rajamouli starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan, reportedly backed out from bankrolling 'Thalapathy 69.' While the production house changed for which was at first reported as Vijay's last film before his full-time political stint, H. Vinoth was roped in as the director.

KVN Productions will be spending a bomb for the making of Thalapathy Vijay's 'Thalapathy 69' which might likely feature Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the female lead. Anirudh Ravichander will work on the film's background score and entire music. The actor also took a look test on August 3 and 4th to finalize how his rumoured concluding film will have him look like. The official announcement of Thalapathy 69 will come up after the release of 'Vijay's GOAT.'

Vijay's GOAT stars a plethora of well-known actors and the theatrical trailer that was released recently amplified the expectations for the film. Vijay plays a dual role as a father and son in a complex story that has typical Venkat Prabhu style of narration, twists, and tropes. The movie was made on a budget of about Rs 330 Crore by the AGS Entertainment banner.

Prabhu Deva, Prashanth, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Vaibhav, Premgi Amaren, Ajmal Ameer, Mohan, Jayaram, and Yogi Babu among others played pivotal roles in the film which has its music and score by none other than Yuvan Shankar Raja. Another song from the album called 'SPARK' sung by Yuvan was also dropped recently.
