Thalapathy Vijay In Politics

Thalapathy Vijay In Politics: Popular Tamil actor Thalapathy Vijay, who is riding high on the success of his recent movie Leo, is gearing up to step into the world of politics. Vijay has long harbored ambitions of launching his own political party and has actively engaged in charitable activities such as distributing food, providing scholarships, establishing libraries, and offering legal aid.

Reportedly, Vijay has initiated the process of forming his political party in Tamil Nadu, where he has been elected as the party president. The party is expected to be officially registered with the Election Commission of India (ECI) soon, although the party's name has not yet been finalized.

According to reports, about 200 members of the party's general council recently convened for a meeting ahead of the registration process. Key positions such as General Secretary and Treasurer have been filled, and a Central Executive Committee has been established.

It is speculated that Vijay will venture into politics before the 2026 Tamil Nadu elections, and it's anticipated that the party name will include Kazhagam to align with Tamil Nadu's political customs.

Beyond his acting career, Vijay is renowned for his philanthropy, often extending assistance to those in need. In December 2023, he provided aid to flood-affected communities in Thoothukudi and Tirunelveli districts by distributing relief materials to affected families.

Additionally, recent reports suggest that Vijay treated himself to a new luxury car. Known for his affinity for lavish rides, Vijay acquired a BMW i7 xDrive 60 electric car, further adding to his impressive car collection.

While balancing his philanthropic endeavors and burgeoning political aspirations, Vijay remains active in the film industry. In 2023, he appeared in two movies, Leo and Varisu, and is currently immersed in the filming of his upcoming project, tentatively titled Thalapathy 68, under the direction of Venkat Prabhu.
