Thangalaan Box Office Collection Prediction Day 10: The pre-independence era film showcasing Chiyaan Vikram in his best-yet avatar and a challenging role so far, Thangalaan has won critical acclaim and applause for its cinematic brilliance. Written and directed by Pa. Ranjith, the movie was released amid super duper hype on August 15 to a thumping response.

After its release in Tamil and Telugu, Chiyaan Vikram's Thangalaan, which was set in the British era pre-independence times, earned a great deal of critical acclaim with fans and critics praising the director Pa. Ranjith for his conviction. Vikram and Malavika Mohanan besides Parvathy Thiruvothu delivered solid performances as well.

Thangalaan Synopsis
Thangalaan (Vikram) is a tribal leader in India ruled by the British Raj. He embarks on a valiant fight against the system and the British after they conspire to loot his land for mining gold.

The movie opened to Vikram's career's best opening figures and has been earning critical acclaim for its cast and crew. Vikram walked away again with a terrific performance and a once-in-a-while kind of film.

After the hyped release, the movie sustained a pretty good opening long weekend and made about Rs 65 Crore worldwide. The movie's numbers began to dip after the first week and now that another weekend has come, it is expected to score better due to the lack of competition.
