Thangalaan First Single Release Date: Pa Ranjith-Chiyaan Vikram's upcoming epic historical action drama titled Thangalaan, is one of the biggest and most exciting films coming up this year. Vikram, the versatile and terrific actor shocked his fans and everyone with his makeover that sent chills down the spine.

Thangalaan has been waiting to hit the screens and the latest update about the film's first single is now going viral. The movie Thangalaan stars Vikram in the titular role and features Pasupathy and Parvarthy Thiruvothu in key roles among others. The teaser that was released in December last year met with great enthusiasm and cheer from fans.

Thangalaan New Release Date Update
Thangalaan was initially slated for a theatrical release worldwide on January 26 this year but the makers put the theatrical release on hold and exhibited the movie across various film festivals. The recent release date was announced in June 2024 but it has been postponed again. The official update is awaited regarding the release date update.

The movie is set against the backdrop of British rule in India and the leader of a tribe, Thangalaan, who raises against the British to safeguard his people and their land, which has gold mines.

Thangalaan OTT Rights Sold
The makers of this Vikram-starrer have also closed the digital streaming deal with Netflix India OTT. After the movie's theatrical release, Thangalaan will stream on Netflix in all major five languages in the country.

Thangalaan Cast
The movie stars Vikram in the titular role as Thangalaan. Parvathy Thiruvothu as Gangammal, Malavika Mohanan as Aarathi, Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone, Harikrishnan Anbudurai, Vettai Muthukumar, and Arjun Anbudan among others are playing key roles.

The period drama was written and directed by Pa Ranjith, who also co-wrote the screenplay along with Tamil Prabha, and Azhagiya Periyavan. Produced by K E Gnanavel Raja under the Studio Green and Neelam Productions banner, Thangalaan has its entire background score and music composed by G V Prakash Kumar. A Kishor Kumar cranked the camera and Selva R.K worked as the editor.
