Thangalaan OTT Release Confirmed For Diwali? Written and directed by Pa. Ranjith is Chiyaan Vikram-starrer 'Thangalaan' which was released amid sky-high expectations and much intrigue on the August 15 long weekend. Vikram promoted the film in which he played the most challenging role yet. The movie opened to career's biggest numbers for the actor.

After its release in Tamil and Telugu, Chiyaan Vikram's Thangalaan, which was set in the British era pre-independence times, earned a great deal of critical acclaim with fans and critics praising the director Pa. Ranjith for his conviction. Vikram and Malavika Mohanan besides Parvathy Thiruvothu delivered solid performances as well.

Thangalaan Synopsis
Thangalaan (Vikram) is a tribal leader in India ruled by the British Raj. He embarks on a valiant fight against the system and the British after they conspire to loot his land for mining gold. On the other hand, the villagers earn the wrath of a sorcerer named Aarathi, as they set out to find gold. Thangalaan is the only one who takes responsibility for fighting against Aarathi with all he has.

Chiyaan Vikram's Thangalaan's OTT release is due and Netflix had already secured the digital rights long ago. The movie was expected to make its debut in October but got pushed to Diwali. Now, the film is likely to arrive on Netflix in December. Thangalaan will likely stream from October 31 in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
